Old boiler on its last legs, or already given up? We replace combi, system and regular boilers across Croydon, and leave you with a cleaner, more efficient system than the one we found.
Gas Safe registeredNo. 567789Replacing, not just swapping
The boiler is the part everyone sees, but it sits on a system of pipes and radiators that may be decades old. Fitting a brand-new boiler onto sludgy, untreated water is the fastest way to shorten its life, and manufacturers know it: most won’t honour a warranty unless the system has been cleaned and treated.
So a replacement starts with what you have. We look at the type of boiler, where it sits, how the flue leaves the house and the state of the system, then recommend the right replacement. In many Croydon homes that’s a straight swap. In others it’s a chance to get rid of the tanks, move the boiler out of a bedroom cupboard, or upgrade the controls.
Which boiler?
Usually the same type you have now, unless there’s a good reason to change.

Best for: Older homes with low mains pressure, or where the pipework is built around it.

A failed heat exchanger or an obsolete part can make repair uneconomical. Tell us it’s urgent and we’ll prioritise.
Boilers from the early 2000s and before are far less efficient than a modern condensing boiler and get harder to fix.
A new A-rated boiler with good controls uses less gas to do the same job.
A new kitchen, loft conversion or extension is the ideal time to move or upgrade the boiler.
What’s included
Disconnected safely, taken away and disposed of properly, along with any old tanks or cylinder we take out.
Old radiators are full of sludge that kills new boilers. The system is flushed and dosed with inhibitor, as the regulations and every manufacturer require.
Fitted under the boiler to catch the sludge and rust that circulate in older systems, before it reaches the heat exchanger.
Every new gas boiler in England needs time and temperature controls, and a combi needs an extra energy-saving measure such as a smart thermostat with optimisation.
Flue position is tightly regulated near windows, doors, boundaries and under eaves. We check it, and fit a new flue kit with the boiler.
Condensing boilers drain water through a small pipe. Run outside, it can freeze and shut the boiler down in a cold snap, so we route and size it to avoid that.
The commissioning record for your boiler, filled in and signed. Manufacturers ask for it before honouring a warranty claim.
Fitting a boiler is notifiable work. We notify Building Control through the Gas Safe Register, and you get a compliance certificate in the post.
Most manufacturers need registering within 30 days of fitting or the warranty is shorter. We do it for you, in your name.
How it works
Two minutes in the quote form: what you have, where it is, how big your home is. Add a photo of the boiler and the flue if you can.
A Gas Safe engineer reviews it and calls you with a written quote and a recommendation. If anything needs checking, we pop round first.
We protect the floors, take the old boiler out, fit and commission the new one, clean the system and show you the controls.
We register the warranty with the manufacturer and notify Building Control through the Gas Safe Register. Your certificate arrives by post.
FAQ
If it’s under about ten years old and the fault is a common part, a repair usually makes sense. If it’s older, has needed several repairs, or the part is obsolete, the repair money is usually better put towards a new boiler. We’ll give you both options honestly.
It depends on the boiler and what we have on the books that week. Tell us in the quote form that it’s broken down and you need it urgently, and we’ll tell you the earliest date when we call.
No. If you have a system or regular boiler and it suits your home, replacing it with the same type is quicker and cheaper. We only suggest a conversion when it makes sense for how you use hot water.
Usually not. Most radiators are fine once the system is cleaned. We’ll point out any that are corroded, leaking or too small for the room, but it’s your choice.
We disconnect it, take it away and dispose of it properly, along with any tanks or cylinder we remove.
Answer a few quick questions, add a photo if you can, and a Gas Safe engineer will come back to you with a price.
